Our Story: How Body Language Became a Family Mission to Inspire Healthier Lives

At Body Language, fitness isn’t just about lifting weights or hitting the treadmill—it’s about building connections, creating accountability, and transforming lives. Our story starts with a family of busy entrepreneurs, scattered by our demanding schedules but united by a shared goal: to live healthier, stronger, and closer together. Here’s how Body Language became our passion project and how we’re helping others in Plymouth, MA, and beyond embrace a healthier lifestyle.

A Family Reunited Through Fitness

As a family of entrepreneurs, we’ve always been on the go. From running small businesses to managing restaurants and nutrition ventures, our days were packed, and finding time to connect wasn’t easy. Despite living close by, life’s hustle kept us apart—until we found a common goal: getting healthier together.

Fitness became our glue. It gave us a reason to gather, a platform to hold each other accountable, and a shared language to talk about our progress. From my mom to both my dads, we all started showing up at the gym, cheering each other on through sweaty workouts and small victories. Focusing on fitness didn’t just change our bodies—it brought us closer as a family and helped us rediscover ourselves. Suddenly, we had reasons to stay in touch, stories to share, and a common purpose that lit up our conversations.

Meet the Body Language Family

Our team at Body Language is a family—literally and figuratively—dedicated to helping you reach your health and fitness goals. Each of us brings unique expertise, hustle, and heart to create a community where everyone feels supported.

Matt, our operations guru, runs his own small business and keeps the behind-the-scenes magic at Body Language running smoothly. His knack for organization ensures our gym is a welcoming, efficient space for you to thrive.

Amanda Ward, our Head Fitness Advisor, is a certified trainer and nutritionist with over seven years of coaching experience. Her science-backed approach to fitness and nutrition helps clients make sustainable changes that last.

Blake, our co-founder, is a licensed trainer and lifelong athlete. From managing restaurants to working in construction and remediation, Blake’s work ethic is unmatched. He’s been in gyms his entire life, and his passion for fitness inspired Body Language’s mission to empower others.

Lindsey Ward, our partner and coach, is a mom of two and the powerhouse behind TopNotch Nutrition in Plymouth, MA. Her expertise in nutrition and dedication to coaching make her an invaluable part of our team, helping clients fuel their bodies for success.

Together, we’re a family of hardworking entrepreneurs united by a single mission: to help you live your healthiest life.

Building a Community of Health and Accountability

At Body Language, we know that fitness is more than physical—it’s about creating opportunities for growth, connection, and self-discovery. Our gym isn’t just a place to work out; it’s a community where you can find accountability, support, and inspiration. Just like our family found common ground through fitness, we want to help you connect with your own reasons to stay committed.

Whether you’re debunking myths (like the idea that muscle weighs more than fat—it doesn’t, it’s just denser!) or learning to balance macros for better recovery, we’re here to guide you. Our programs focus on sustainable changes—through personalized training, nutrition coaching, and recovery strategies—so you can feel stronger, leaner, and more confident.

Why Recovery Matters

One lesson we’ve learned as a family is the power of rest and recovery. Fitness isn’t about grinding every day; it’s about giving your body the time it needs to rebuild and grow. That’s why we emphasize recovery at Body Language, offering yoga, mobility classes, and nutrition advice to help you fuel and repair your body. Rest days are when the magic happens—your muscles grow stronger, and your mind gets a reset. We’re here to show you how to balance hard work with smart recovery, so you can keep pushing toward your goals.
